The Trophy

A few years back I noticed that our children were not being nice to each other or having respect for each other. (Does this sound familiar?) I somehow came up with an idea that we would be able to impliment into our weekly Family Home Evening schedule. During the week we were to watch other family members and their various activities. At our FHE the person with the "trophy" was to talk about the good things that they noticed happening all week and award the trophy to someone in the family who had shown some merit in their activities during the week. It is a pretty big honor to receive the trophy and there is almost always clapping involved. This has not solved our sibling rivalry, but it has toned it down a little.

I found a trophy at a second hand store and made a label for it that says "Throckmorton Terrific Titanium Trophy".
